Ich mag große Accessoires! Statt auf ein komplettes Schmuckset - bestehend aus Armreifen, Kette und Ohrringen - zurückzugreifen, finde ich es immer schöner, sich für ein Accessoire zu entscheiden und dies dafür besonders hervorzuheben. Da kommt mir der Trend der "Statement Ohrringe" gerade recht! Mal wieder war Chanel der Vorreiter als das Label auf seiner Modenschau für Frühling-Sommer 2011 die Models mit endlos langen Ohrringen auf den Laufsteg schickte. Louis Vuitton ging in dieselbe Richtung und schnell war klar: die neuen It Pieces sind ohne Zweifel gaaaaaaaaaaaaanz laaaaaaaaaaang... Hier habe ich ein paar rausgesucht, die mir besonders gut gefallen:

      I love big accessoires! Instead of choosing a complete jewellery set - consisting of bracelet, necklace and earrings - I prefer picking just one accessory and emphasizing it. That is why I'm crazy about the new bold statement earrings. Once again Chanel was the pioneer when the label send its models on the catwalk with never-ending earrings, on its spring-summer 2011 fashion show. Louis Vuitton was next and it quickly became apparentthat the new it pieces have to be veeeeeeeeeeeeery loooooooooooong now... These are some earrings I picked because I liked them most:

Es ist Zeit, die Sonnenbrillen-Kollektion zu erweitern! Ich habe zwar schon ein ganz bestimmtes Model von Marc Jacobs im Auge aber während ich dafür spare, gucke ich mich auch gerne wo anders rum. Und da gibt es eine Marke von der ich total fasziniert bin seit ich sie kenne: Oliver Peoples. Ich weiß nicht woran es liegt, dass das Label auf mich so unfassbar cool wirkt aber ich vermute, es liegt hauptsächlich an den wunderbaren Kampagnen. Seit 2008 produziert Oliver Peoples jedes Jahr einen neuen Kurzfilm für die neue Kollektion und Werbekampagne. Meine Lieblingsfilme sind "Catch a Tuesday" mit Zooey Deschanel und “Les enfants sennuient le dimanche” (Die Kinder langweilen sich sonntags) mit Elijah Wood.       It's time to expand my sunglasses collection! I have a special model by Marc Jacobs in my mind but while I'm saving money for it, I like to look around at other brands. And there is one label that I'm totally thrilled about since I kwow it: Oliver Peoples. I don't know what it is that makes it seem so incredibly cool to me, but I guess it's because of the wonderful campaigns. Since 2008 Oliver Peoples produces one short film a year to coincide with the current campaign and collection. My favorite films are "Catch a Tuesday", featuring Zooey Deschanel, and “Les enfants sennuient le dimanche” (The children are bored on Sundays), featuring Elijah Wood. Ich war schon immer eine richtige Leseratte. Schon als Kind habe ich ein Buch nach dem anderen verschlungen und tauchte ein, in fremde Welten voller Abenteuer. Wie das mit dem Alter so ist ;), bin ich über die Jahre immer weniger zum Lesen gekommen. Es fehlt die kostbare Zeit. Nur im Urlaub bleibt sie mir, um meine Nase hinter dem Buchrücken zu verstecken. Für die Zwischenzeit habe ich einen fabelhaften Ersatz entdeckt. Für viele schon bekannt aber mir leider jetzt erst aufgefallen: die französische Designerin Olympia Le-Tan. Ihre Buch-Clutches haben sich nicht nur einen Platz in den wichtigsten Modezeitschriften der Welt verdient, sondern auch in den Kleiderschränken so mancher Stars. Ihre handgemachten Designs sind Kopien großer literarischer Werke. Wie so oft in der Geschichte der Mode, diente der Vater als Vorbild: Olympias Vater war einer der wichtigsten Zeichner Frankreich.

I've always been a real bookworm. As a child I couldn't get enough of new books and I loved to immerse myself in other worlds full of adventures. With growing age ;) I got to read less and less... Valuable time is missing. Only on vacation I take my time to hide my nose behind books. BUT for the meantime I just discovered a fabulous substitute! Many of you might already know her but I discovered her recently: french designer Olympia Le-Tan. Her book clutches didn't only capture a place in the most important fashion magazines - they also got into the closet of some celebs. The handmade designs are copies of great literary works. As so often in fashion history, daddy is responsable for the great succes. Olympias father was one of the most important illustrators in France, an his daughter's inspiration.

Patricia Rosales: Love at first sight

Ich habe die spanische Schuhdesignerin Patricia Rosales und ihre High Heels letzten Sommer kennen und lieben gelernt. Nach einem Anruf eines alten Freundes half ich im Juli spontan beim  Showroom im Hotel Gran Melia Don Pepe in Marbella aus. Ich muss zugeben, dass ich die Designerin nicht kannte, auch wenn ich das nach meiner Recherche gar nicht verstehen konnte, denn das Clipping ist wirklich beeindruckend. Nicht nur die spanischen Medien und Celebrities sind verrückt nach dem aufstrebenden Talent sondern auch im Ausland wächst ihr Bekanntheitsgrad zunehmend. Selbst Madonna und Naomi Campbell sind bereits stolze Besitzerinnen der einzigartigen Haute Couture Schuhe. Die 1981 in Almería geborene Patricia machte ihre Leidenschaft zum Beruf und begann mit einer kleinen handgemachten Schuhkollektion. Dabei konzentrierte sie sich vor allem auf die Details: kleine Muscheln, Federn und Edelsteine verzieren die Schuhe aus Schlangenleder und Seide. Dabei haben die Schuhliebhaberinnen die Auswahl zwischen der extravaganten Haute Couture Kollektion und einer wunderschönen Prêt-à-porter-Linie. Patricia Rosales' Mode für die Füße wird nun auch durch Accessoires wie Halsketten, Handtaschen und Koffer ergänzt.

Last summer I fell in love. Again. It is for real this time, I can feel it. A shoe collection by spanish shoe designer Patricia Rosales had captivated my heart. The love story began when an old friend of mine called me in July and asked me to help at the designer's showroom in the Gran Melia Don Pepe Hotel in Marbella (Spain). I was at town anyway so I totally accepted. I have to admit that I didn't recognize the name when I first heard it but when I started my research I was really impressed by the clippings of the designer. Not only the spanish media and celebrities are crazy about the Patricia Rosales designs but also abroad the degree of awareness of the emerging talent grows. Even Madonna and Naomi Campbell are proud owners of theses extraordinary Haute Couture shoes. Patricia, born 1981 in Almería (Spain),  made her passion into her profession with a small handmade shoe collection. She always concentrates on the details: small mussels, feathers and gemstones decorate the shoes made of serpent leather and  silk. Shoe lovers can choose between an extravagant Haute Couture collection and a beautiful Prêt-à-porter line. The Patricia Rosales fashion for feet is now completed by accessoires as necklaces, bags and suitcases.

Nach dem wunderbaren Showroom-Tag, umgeben von tollen Stilettos, Peep-Toes und Plateau-Pumps, ging ich auch nicht leer aus. TATAAAAAAA: meine ersten Patricia Rosales Schuhe!!! Jetzt warte ich nur auf die nächste Gelegenheit, meinen Schatz auszuführen. Diese muss natürlich den Schuhen entsprechend edel sein.... :)

So, after that wonderful day, surrounded by amazing stilettos, peep-toes and plateau pumps, I didn't leave empty-handed. May I introduce, these are my first Patricia Rosales shoes!!! I am still waiting for an appropiated occasion to wear these fantastic heels... :)
