Neue Kreativdirektorin bei Chloé / New creative director for Chloé

After John Galliano's farewell at Dior, Christoph Decarnin's parting at Balmain and Tommaso Aquilano und Roberto Rimondi leaving Gianfranco Ferré, another label separates from its creative director. Claire Waight Keller is the successor of Hannah MacGibbon. There were a lot of speculations about the position at Chloé but now it's official: MacGibbon, who had been creative director of the French label since 2008, leaves Chloé at the end of the month and is going to be replaced by Claire Waight Keller. "The new one" is British and comes from the tradiotional label Pringle of Scotland, where she worked over the last six years. She has also designed for Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Gucci. So: expectations are high and I am looking forward to seeing her first collection for Chloé...

Meine Online Shops des Tages / My online stores of the day

On sunday I spent a wunderful 1st of May with my boyfriend. First of all, we had lunch at a restaurant at the Belgian border, then we went for a walk in the zoo and then we enjoyed a huge ice-cream sundae. The weather was just perfect. I already knew the restaurant but I was so excited to show it to my boyfriend, cause it's really great. It is called "Café de Frites":

Yeaaah, the terrace is open!!

Meine Marc by Marc Jacobs Einkäufe! ;)

My purchases from Marc by Marc Jacobs! Unfortunately I didn't buy as much as I wanted to, but at least it is something by one of my favorite designers... ;)

Kate marries in Alexander McQueen!

Finally we know it!! The designer of Kate's wedding gown is  Alexander McQueen!!! And it is really breathtaking... The train is ca. three metres long and the gown, which is in part made of lace, is creamy-white.

Forget Colette!

I guess you've already seen the Colette bag between my shopping bags from Paris. What can I say - I am really really disapointed! Ok, that might be because of my high expectations, I admit. The first time I heard about Colette was in my Vogue master. Our fashion marketing teacher was called Delphine and she was a Parisian woman. She worked a long time for Lafayette and Le Bon Marché in Paris and was responsable for the purchasing. In her classes I first heard names like Maje, Antik Batik, Sandro, Joseph or Uniqlo. And of course Colette.  She let us know , this was THE address number 1 for all the designers. Everything what's good and new first gets to Colette. Colette is always the first and of course it is unique. Accordingly my boyfriend  had to quicken the pace the more we came closer to the boutique. ;)  I saw wunderful books, great records, amazing shoes and purses and a lot of weird stuff and I spent a lot of time on the two sales floors. Because I couldn't decide what to buy and since I love surprises, I picked one of the surprise bags that were stringed next to the entrance. A colourful mixture of cool things - that is what I expected. I was really excited when we took a break in a nearby café a short time later and when I started to pick out the surprises out of the bag. All what remained in the end was my disappointment...

On the lower ground there was a small restaurant ( bar where the new Karl Lagerfeld bottles for Diet Coke were presented. The designs are cute but the bottles were sold at Colette for 3,50 €. In the super market next door I bought one for 2,00 €...
