Jeden Monat fotografiert Burberry neue britische Talente, die den Charakter der Marke repräsentieren. Die Ausgewählten des Monats Mai sind Karen Anne und Johny Flynn. Die beiden Musiker gehören zum Projekt "Burberry Acoustic" des Labels. Diese Initiative startete 2010 um junge britische Musiker zu unterstützen. Alle Künstler werden persönlich von Kreativdirektor Christopher Bailey ausgewählt. Starfotograf Mario Testino hat Karen und Johny an den Stränden von Brighton für die Kampagne fotografiert. Mit der Werbekampagne möchte Burberry zeigen, wie facettenreich und unterschiedlich die Kunden des Labels sind.
In the spring-summer 2011 season the British traditional label surpriseswith a dynamic idea that's very different from other campaigns. Each month Burberry photographs new British talents that represent the character of the brand. The chosen of this month May are Karen Anne and Johny Flynn. The two musicians are part oft the "Burberry Acoustic" project. The initiative launched in 2010 to support young British musicians. All artists are selected by creative director Christopher Bailey. The Star photographer Mario Testino photographed Karen und Johny for the campaign at the beaches of Brighton. Burberry wants to show the diversity oh its clients with this advertising campaign.
Ich persönlich finde die Wahl für Mai 2011 überzeugend! Karen Anne kannte ich leider noch nicht aber dafür hatte ich vor ein paar Jahren das Vergnügen, Johny Flynn live in concert zu sehen: 2008 als Vorband von The Kooks. Ich fand ihn wunderbar und sein Song "Tickle Me Pink" blieb mir noch lange im Ohr. Daumen hoch, Burberry! ;)
I personally love the choice for May 2011! I honestly didn't know Karen Anne but I did hace the pleasure to see Johny Flynn live in concert: 2008 as warm-up for the Kooks. I thought he was great and I was crazy about his song "Tickle Me Pink". Thumbs up, Burberry! ;)
